Northern Ire. Science Park


Northern Ireland Science Park offers agile office space facilities available to rent by knowledge based enterprises, large and small. The park consists of four buildings from 23,000 sq.ft. to 56,000 sq. ft. and provide agile accommodation options ranging from 400 sq. ft. upward. The availability of central meeting and conference facilities, café and corporate catering services, car parking, managed reception and security services make the Science Park one of the premier locations in Northern Ireland to not only locate but also to in which to grow a business.



Javelin Ventures specialises in investing in early-stage technology companies and currently manages a several early stage, angel and higher education focused investment funds. These include the Iceni Seedcorn Fund, the Halo Business Angel EIS Fund and the London Business Angels’ Roundtable EIS Fund. Javelin also works with Spark Venture Management on the Lachesis Fund and the Isis College Fund. Javelin is a authorised and regulated by the Financial Services Authority and is a member of the British Private Equity and Venture Capital Association.



Halo is the business angel network for Northern Ireland. Its role is to match companies with growth potential to high net-worth individuals – the ‘angels’ – who may wish to invest in them.

Halo is funded by Invest NI and Intertrade Ireland and is delivered by the NI Science Park where it works closely with NISP Connect. Halo has proved to be very successful, with investments exceeding £1m pa.

Halo was named British Business Angels Association Angel Network of the Year 2010.

The British Library


The British Library Business & IP Centre provides business and IP (intellectual property) information for both innovators and entrepreneurs. Launched in 2006, it supports entrepreneurs, inventors and small businesses from that first spark of inspiration to the launch and development of a business. Since the launch, over 200,000 entrepreneurs have used the Centre, which offers free access to the UK’s most comprehensive collection of business and intellectual property databases and publications, including general start up advice, information on funding sources, market research, company data, business news and information on patents, trademarks, registered designs and copyright
